About the artist

Suzane Beaubrun in and Oakland artist focusing on jewelry and multi-media sculpture. In admiration for the concept of up-cycling, she transforms common discarded materials into art to wear and treasure. In addition to working with found and recycled materials, Suzane engages in more traditional metal smithing techniques. Works often include intricate examples of hand piercing and sawing, crocheting and weaving fine silver or color coated wire. Her work is an eclectic exploration of texture, color and form.

Suzane is a graduate of The San Francisco Art Institute with a BFA in painting/printmaking. She discovered a passion for jewelry and sculpture under the tutelage of artist Lisa Spiros at the 92 Street Y in NYC
